Acquia Named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for DXP

Today, Acquia was named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs). See our vision of an open DXP.

Today, for the second year in a row, Acquia was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs). With this year’s (2021) recognition, Acquia has shifted higher and further on the Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision axes respectively, within the Leaders Quadrant, with respect to its position in the 2020 report.  

Acquia’s recognition comes at a time when there is rapid digital acceleration happening across the market and the dawning of a new model of digital experience. This past year, every single industry fundamentally transformed their understanding of customer experience. We believe that The tectonic shift to a digital-first business model made people wake up and see a truth that Acquia has known from the start: Businesses need an open platform that unlocks content and data and optimizes all digital and digitally assisted interactions across the customer lifecycle.

For over a decade, traditional digital experience vendors made the mistake of focusing on building channel-specific technology solutions instead of prioritizing the total experience. Then, the pandemic struck. Customer and employee behaviors suddenly changed, but these disparate systems were stuck in silos and unprepared to adapt. We believe that The Acquia Open Digital Experience Platform is the only solution designed to integrate across the entire customer and employee lifecycle.

From our perspective, Acquia’s power and unique advantage lie in our interoperable architecture and roots in the expansive open source community behind Drupal. Acquia’s open philosophy was born out of our roots in open source and our belief in a cloud-native platform. Our open DXP makes it possible for brands to connect with any third-party technology and achieve interoperability across their total digital ecosystem. In just two years, Acquia expanded our DXP capabilities with low-code site building, open marketing automation and a customer data platform (CDP).
