Acquia is extremely pleased to report that the adoption of our cloud-first DXP capabilities are accelerating across our core verticals of financial services, high tech, education and government, while interest from automotive, manufacturing and CPG is rapidly materializing.
Since we last provided this update in 2017, Acquia has expanded its world-class customer base in Canada to include top organizations like Videotron, Purolator, Ontario WSIB, CNESST, the cities of London, Ottawa and Surrey, among dozens of others.

Canadian Government 2.0
The Government of Canada (GC) is doing its part by modernizing the way GC selects, adopts and maintains technology. This was articulated in the recently published Digital Operating Playbook (DOP)
By expressly mandating Federal guidelines look first to the cloud and to open source, Treasury Board is encouraging Federal Agencies and Crown Corporations to look beyond the traditional, proprietary, legacy software vendors that have historically had a stranglehold on GC procurement processes dating back to the 1990s. This will be a lasting legacy from Justin Trudeau's first mandate.
The playbook closes the gap with standards set in Australia, United States, India and the UK. This new direction is akin to what the Obama Administration did with the creation of 18F (GSA) and the Federal Cloud Computing Strategy. These policies had long-lasting impacts on federal, state and municipal digital transformations by contributing to making open source an irreversible standard for government agencies -of all sizes- across the United States.
