2025 TeenVoice Survey
What Teens Want: Insights into the Digital Futures Gen Z and Gen Alpha Expect
A study by TeenVoice, in partnership with Acquia, surveyed over 500 teens (aged 13-19) to understand their preferences, expectations, and priorities for the "websites of the future."
Privacy is a Priority
Teens' top demand for future websites is that they keep personal information private. Older teens (17–19) prioritize privacy even more and are significantly more skeptical of AI and automation, illustrating a shift in attitudes with increased digital maturity.
Teens are pragmatic digital natives
Speed, utility, and simplicity are deal breakers. Teens aren’t dazzled by tech gimmicks. They want sites that are fast, helpful, and get out of their way. Performance and ease of use will always matter more than novelty.
Video is the Default Language of the Web
Teens are also not browsing the web in the traditional sense. They’re largely consuming it through video-first experiences. For modern users, web design must be story-driven, snackable, and mobile-optimized. Static pages and text-dense layouts are invisible to teens.
