Acquia Named One of the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing
READING, UK, February 14, 2023 – Acquia has officially been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing (2023) by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. The company’s people-first approach is just one of the reasons why employees at Acquia believe it’s a great place to work.
Great Place to Work’s culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing people’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfillment, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Acquia ranks 62 among the 100 medium size organisations on the list. This is the second time the company has been recognised for Wellbeing. Here are a few of the things Acquia employees had to say about their workplace:
- "Our heritage in open source software means we drive to give back at all levels. We are encouraged to do so and have great fun with it!"
- "I am proud to be working for a company that is open and honest, while supporting the community where possible. The company is fair, ethical, and inclusive."
- "Acquia has a great set of values that encourage ownership and allow for failure — this enables employees to do great things without fear of consequence — thus innovation is ripe."
“At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website,” explained Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK. “We know when employees feel genuinely content and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive. Now in our second year of the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list, we’re once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing. A huge congratulations to Acquia for making this prestigious list.”
“We are gratified to be recognized by employees as one of the UK's best workplace for supporting wellbeing,” said Heather Hartford, Chief People Officer at Acquia. “We believe that in order to create world-class customer experiences, organizations must first invest in their most important customers—their people. This award is testament to how Acquia puts that into practice with our own team."
