The Client

CPFL has been building the history of the Brazilian electricity sector for 110 years, operating in the distribution, generation, transmission, commercialization, and services segments. The company distributes energy to more than 10 million customers, with a presence in 687 cities between the states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, and Paraná. In energy generation, it is the third largest private agent in Brazil and, through CPFL Renováveis, it is one of the largest generation companies in Latin America using alternative energy sources.

The Situation

As an electric company serving small, medium, and large customers, CPFL needed a platform that would help it understand service requests and the type of energy needed by each applicant. The company wanted to improve its customers’ user experience, allowing users to more easily fill in the required data and request service.

The Challenge

CPFL needed to ease the transition of information between customer and supplier, optimizing communication so that it could perform the service.

The Solution

Working with NTT Data, the teams collaborated, allowing all stakeholders to have a hand in directing, designing and developing the new platform. With their knowledge of the platform, NTT Data provided an excellent implementation experience, helping CPFL optimize performance for the team as a whole.

The Results

CPFL's new platform provided an improved experience for customers and suppliers. The platform's ease of use and deployment meant that developers and non-developers could both participate in the process, leading to returns in service and team performance.
