The Client
The West Virginia University Foundation (WVUF) solicits and administers private support on behalf of WVU. In FY'18 between July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018, the Foundation received $161 million from more than 23,000 donors. It marked the second-highest year of giving in the Foundation's 64-year history.
The Situation
West Virginia University Foundation wanted to create a system that transformed its time-consuming, difficult business processes into a unified digital experience. And for accountability purposes, the system would require an audit trail.
The Challenge
WVUF’s main challenge was its technology; it has six major non-Drupal systems that all needed to seamlessly integrate with its new system.
The Solution
Building on Acquia Cloud Platform, the WVUF web team implemented a new system that allows users to go to one single place to gain access to all of their tools and information, instead of making them continuously move to one of the site’s 6+ other web applications.
The Results
Since the launch of the new platform, WVUF has realized amazing results. All processes going through the new system have seen dramatic efficiency gains, the best being a 900% boost in completion time.
