Scott Woelfel

Scott Woelfel is an innovator and thought leader in the digital media industry. His work in the field, which began in 1991, has helped shape how a global audience receives and interacts with information online. Woelfel is a veteran of the news business, spending more than 15 years at CNN where he was a cofounder of CNN.com and led the news giant's online effort as its first editor in chief, and later as president of the CNN Interactive division. Under his direction, CNN moved from a broadcast-only network to a multi-platform news service with global interactive services in ten languages. In addition to his digital experience at CNN, Woelfel also spent several years in as a television news producer, both at CNN and at several local television stations. Immediately prior to joining IfThen, Scott was managing partner of Armchair, a digital design and consulting firm that was acquired by IfThen in 2017. In that role, he worked to develop new interactive presences for news organizations and media clients ranging from The New York Times, CBS, the Hearst Corporation, The Associated Press and Turner Broadcasting.
