Piyush Poddar

An accomplished entrepreneur and multi-faceted IT professional with 20 plus years of grueling work experience. I enjoy speaking at international and local tech events; and helping local tech start-ups by mentoring and advising on Business, Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Operational matters. 

I started my professional career as a partner in an IT training academy at the age of 20, founded and ran a software development company for ten years and led the technology division of an Irish - India based IT Company for another five years after that. During this journey, I have been a tech architect, developer, manager, analyst, designer, sales rep, account manager, and a marketer. 

At Axelerant, I am heading business development and revenue growth via strategic partnerships with digital and creative agencies in the US, UK, and the Asia Pacific regions. Much of our delivery effort involves production staffing and support for software and marketing needs.
 
With the likes of Acquia, Redhat and similar other partners relying on our Delivery Partnerships for many years now, our primary focus areas are implementing Acquia Products for Digital Marketing Stack with Drupal for CMS, Drupal Commerce for COMMERCE, Salesforce for CRM. We have also got pretty intense DevOps and automated QA capabilities. 

Globally, I further host agency leader dinner roundtables where owners & decision-makers from digital and creative agencies come and share ideas for growth, management, and innovation from their industries. London, Auckland, and Canberra are some of the places I have hosted these events.

I regularly contribute time to Drupal Community as a volunteer, track chair, awards jury, and speaker. Having attended most of the Drupalcons since 2014, I have been track chair around the agency, business, and digital transformation tracks, and have given many talks around business and community topics. I've also been a Jury for the International Splash Awards three years in a row ( Darmstadt, Seattle, and upcoming Amsterdam later this year). 

As one of the Founding Board Members, I'm also working with the Indian Drupal Community towards setting up and running the Drupal Association of India.
