Every year, developers, content editors, site builders, and digital marketers flock to DrupalCon, where you can attend seminars and trainings and participate in networking opportunities, developing new skills, and new friendships, along the way.
At this year’s DrupalCon in Seattle, while you are taking in all the activities, having meetings, and going to just-for-fun events, please join the Acquia team in the evening to have a drink and socialize! We’ll be gathering at one of the coolest places in Seattle, SPIN, where you can up your game in ping pong and have some fun with fellow Drupalists. And for design enthusiasts, the interior of SPIN’s venue is not to be missed.
When: Tuesday, April 9, 2019
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Where: SPIN Seattle
1511 6th Ave. Seattle, WA
Special guest Wim Leers will be joining as well, who, as most of you know, is a star among our community. And in case you are not yet familiar with his brilliant work as a Drupalist, now is your chance to meet — and challenge him — at ping pong, or, a.k.a., table tennis, as Leers declares it! We will be holding a friendly competition on who can beat Leers, and there will be a prize given to the person who wins the games. Are you up for it? Of course you are!
Leers is known as a mentor in the community and for always sharing his impressive knowledge of Drupal with others, and it is why we are especially grateful to him that he’ll be traveling from afar to join us. In his blog, he writes, “All my life, I’ve been interested in building things. I stumbled into Drupal while working on another open source project, and I was looking for the best software to build and maintain websites. After evaluating many options, I ended up choosing Drupal. I worked on developing contrib modules for those few things I needed, and in the process, ended up getting deeper into the Drupal community. Open source has led me to where I am today.” Leers’s story is inspiring, and we look forward to hearing yours as we all gather for a great evening of fun in Seattle!
You can RSVP here, and don’t forget to wear your DrupalCon badge for an easy check-in.
