One of the world’s leading human capital management (HCM) cloud companies, UKG’s unique Life-work Technology approach to HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions helps more than 70,000 organizations around the globe across every industry anticipate and adapt to their employees’ needs beyond just work. 

The Situation

Founded as the result of a merger, UKG wanted to unify its now singular brand. The company wanted to create a digital experience that represented it as a market leader, with a people-centric focus on accessibility. Additionally, UKG wanted to stand out amongst its competitors — which all seemed to be presenting similar information in a similar way — while increasing lead generation. The goal was to deploy a communications strategy that put the “human” back in HR.

The Challenge

UKG’s challenge was replacing three legacy sites with one new, unified site. While blog and news content had already been updated, the company knew that to provide users with an improved experience, it needed to reimagine the remainder of its content for the new site. 

The Solution

Design-first technologists Third and Grove took the lead in updating UKG’s legacy sites into a single, unified brand. Now, prospective customers unfamiliar with UKG’s product offerings are guided through every step of the process with the “Find Your Solution” tool, an experience designed to boost user engagement, ensuring users discover a solution that’s right for their business size, need, and industry. Additionally, Third and Grove added a resource library and redesigned the first fold of the home page, building it to provide a tailored experience for first-time and returning visitors. 

Acquia Cloud Next’s updated hosting allowed the site to launch without concern about potential traffic events taking down the site and helped UKG to scale without requiring engineering assistance. Acquia Cloud Edge provided caching of the site at the edge, making it load quickly for end users and providing security against nefarious traffic and potential exploits. And Acquia Personalization allowed UKG to target audiences, showing them the right content at the right time.

The Results

Of all the goals UKG tracks, the new “Find Your Solution” quiz garnered the highest engagement levels and completed conversions. Additionally, the company has seen:

  • 363% increase in sessions
  • 132% increase in gated content downloads
  • 284% increase in product tour submissions
