Acquia Appoints James Murray as General Manager of EMEA
LONDON — February 23, 2017 — Acquia, the digital experience company, today announced that James Murray has been appointed the general manager of Acquia’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Acquia is experiencing rapid growth in the EMEA region, and Murray has been appointed to take the company’s business to the next level and direct its continued expansion in this strategic region. As GM he will be leading Acquia’s regional growth initiatives from the company’s regional headquarters located in Reading, UK.
Murray comes to Acquia with more than 25 years of experience in information technology delivery, sales and marketing. He started his career as a consultant at systems integrator Accenture, before spending 12 years driving growth in Europe and Asia for Interwoven and Autonomy’s digital businesses. His most recent role was general manager for EMEA at Splunk through the company’s IPO. Since then, he founded a consultancy company focused on healthcare and coaching sales executives.
