Ayanna Alex

Ayanna Alex is Fannie Mae’s Director of Web Services. She is an influential and accomplished digital marketing technology leader, with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in strategic planning, website development and implementation, as she understands the complexity of combining marketing expertise with cutting-edge technology solutions.

Ayanna led the adoption of Drupal for Fannie Mae’s corporate sites, consolidating from four content management systems to one. She leads a team of website managers, developers, designers, testers, and project managers, who use a variety of digital tools to create innovative solutions that enable the business teams to accomplish their marketing goals. Ayanna has extensive experience in content management systems and digital marketing technologies, supporting search consoles, data and analytics, SEO enhancements, video marketing, customer education, and event management platforms. Her efforts have led to major changes for the front end and back end technology systems for both fanniemae.com and Fannie Mae’s employee website. Ayanna’s work is vitally important to the company’s continuous evolvement of market needs for homeowners, homebuyers, renters, mortgage servicers, lenders, investors, and employees.

Ayanna is extremely passionate about helping others. She volunteers for student organizations to serve her community, while also serving as a mentor and coach, for both adults and children. Ayanna enjoys spending time with her three daughters (twins in college and youngest in high school), attending sporting events and concerts, as well as traveling to new destinations (New Zealand is next on her list). A few fun facts: Ayanna is originally from Southern California, she is part of the BeyHive, and she also attended Virginia Tech for her undergrad degree.
