Drupal JumpStart
JumpStart is a fixed price consulting engagement. In this offering, Acquia will work with your team for five days of side-by-side mentoring and development. Over the course of the week, your team will gain familiarity and experience with the following concepts:
- Drupal concepts and best practices
- Acquia Drupal installation and communication with the Acquia Network
- Requirements mapping to Drupal modules
- Creation of custom content types and views
- Design and theming
- Production architecture and site performance
- Module development
As the Acquia team reviews each concept, they will work with your team to install and configure an Acquia Drupal instance to serve as a proof-of-concept and as a jumping off point for further Drupal development.
Government JumpStart
The Drupal social publishing platform can be utilized in many areas, including public affairs, intra-departmental collaboration, data mash-ups, intranet websites, directories and much more. This program will help your team understand how Drupal works and how your organization can put it to use effectively. Over the course of the training session, your team will gain familiarity with Drupal and get hands on experience in the following areas:
- Propose Drupal as a collaboration technology platform
- Setting up a Drupal site to increase transparency and openness
- Understanding Drupal concepts and best practices
- Architecting a scalable and secure Drupal infrastructure
- Mapping system requirements to Drupal modules
- Certification and accreditation of your Drupal system
- Customizing Drupal system with your own themes and modules
Open Government Directive JumpStart
For organizations seeking to use Drupal to meet your Open Government Directive plan, we can tailor the Government JumpStart engagement specifically to your agency.gov/open requirements. This program includes many of the same elements as the Government JumpStart program, as well as:
- Specific guidance on how to propose Drupal as a solution your Open Government Directive plan
- Training and support for setting up a Drupal site at agency.gov/open
- Security and scalability planning for your OGD Drupal site
- Certification and accreditation for Drupal for you agency
Performance Audit
The Acquia Drupal Performance Audit is focused on assessing and improving the performance of a Drupal site. During the audit, Acquia will perform dynamic and static analysis of site performance and make adjustments to improve the responsiveness and scalability of your site.
At the conclusion of the audit, Acquia will deliver a written report on the outcome of the configuration review and performance tests, analysis of the results, and a complete set of recommendations. In addition, we will begin applying some of the recommended configuration changes to the site and work with you to develop a plan to implement all the recommendations. Acquia provides the performance audit on a fixed-time and fixed-price basis.
Migration Services
Includes a suite of software tools, modules, best practices and expertise to help organizations migrate content from legacy web content management and social software systems to Drupal. Acquia’s Migration Services team has experience, including software tools, for migrating content from Vignette, Jive Software, WordPress, and SharePoint to Drupal. The Migration Services practice helps organizations manage large-scale, error-prone migration processes, eliminating risks and reducing time to market for organizations moving to Drupal.
Security Services
Includes tools and services to assess Drupal site security and implement effective security strategies based on Drupal best practices. Acquia’s Security Services team performs security audits and works with customers to develop comprehensive security plans to respond to security vulnerabilities as they arise. Additionally, the team offers implementation guidance to meet specific security requirements.
