Princess Cruises prides themselves on being the “destination experts”. They are always ensuring that they are providing customers with a meaningful passenger experience. Because they are always striving to give customers the best experience possible while on board, it was necessary for Princess Cruises to find a way to deliver important and meaningful information to passengers, no matter where on the ship they were or the time of day. They were able to achieve this with a Drupal Mobile app.
“Using Drupal as the base, we’ve been able to basically deploy the [Drupal mobile app], and we can continue building on that for the future,” - Mark Dundore, CIO, Princess Cruises
Now, with their mobile app Princess@Sea, every passenger is connected and up-to-date with events, meals, itineraries, and more. “Princess@Sea is the hub of everything they are doing on board,” said Hillary Neaf, Princess@Sea Project Lead. The application is responsive and can adapt depending on the user’s interests and preferences. Princess Cruises has expressed how using open source enabled them to roll out the app quickly and easily.
