Axelerant on Developer Power and Editor Speed
Drupal has always been imagined as developer-friendly. That is its heritage and a large part of why it won: an API-first architecture, a deep module ecosystem, and the freedom to build whatever the brief actually calls for. For most teams the open question was never whether developers could build the thing. It was how fast the people who publish could move once it existed.
In this one-minute video, Vivek Radhakrishnan, Solutions Consultant at Axelerant, explains where Acquia Source lands on that question. Drupal Canvas carries the same friendliness over to the editorial side, so the people who write and publish assemble pages from an approved component library with live preview rather than filing a ticket and waiting.
It changes how a team arrives, too. Coming off another PHP or custom CMS, Vivek describes pointing at the pages that already exist, turning those into a component library, and pushing it into Acquia Source through Drupal Canvas. The front end branded already, becomes the starting point instead of a blank page.
His close is the part worth sitting with. The question he puts to customers is not which platform has the longer feature list. It is at what speed a team can build systems at scale, and whether the platform holds the balance between the two.
