The new site allows for personalized viewing with curated messaging relating to specific areas of work or industries visitors are interested in seeing.

The Client

Adcetera is a strategic marketing agency specializing in omnichannel creative content development and digital media. Adcetera delivers marketing strategies, customer and brand experiences, and measured media and analytics through creative, digital and motion services to help brands connect with their customers.

The Situation

Adcetera wanted to advance and strengthen its position as a creative services company offering dynamic, results-based solutions to its client partners. In the spirit of testing the latest techniques, it also wanted to implement a headless version of Drupal on its own website and apply its learned experience in potential future client projects.

The Challenge

As Adcetera’s first completely decoupled Drupal implementation, the company wanted to challenge itself by using and mastering a newer approach to Drupal websites. But with a short three-month project timeline and concerns around search engine optimization (SEO), Adcetera had their work cut out for them.

The Solution

Adcetera selected React as its front-end framework and leveraged Drupal’s REST interfaces for interacting with the CMS. The company was able to consolidate all REST calls into three or four flexible endpoints, which simplified and reduced the number of requests to the Drupal backend. Additionally, Adcetera was able to reuse content, achieving another one of its goals. The team rendered the site’s front end using React components, which provided flexibility for Adcetera’s designers and front-end team to implement a custom theme.

The Results

Adcetera was able to develop a very custom front end in a shorter amount of time by using the decoupled build approach. The company has also created a personalized viewing feature on the website for prospective and current clients, including curated messaging relating to specific areas of work or industries visitors are interested in seeing. By leveraging the new site to streamline business operations for both HR and business development, and integrating with hiring platform Workable and CRM Salesforce, hiring has become simplified and Adcetera’s sales teams are more effective and efficient.
