## The Client

FusionFabric.cloud is [Finastra](https://www.finastra.com/)’s PaaS solution for secure banking software. FusionFabric.cloud is a scalable and open development platform for creating and promoting banking applications worldwide, and serves as a hub to encourage development innovation that would lead to groundbreaking new Fintech solutions.

Finastra is a global financial services company that provides a broad portfolio of financial services to its global customers. Ninety of the world’s top 100 banks rely on Finastra technology.

## The Situation

Wanting to bring unparalleled innovation and collaboration to the Fintech space, Finastra approached Drupal development agency [Elevated Third](https://www.elevatedthird.com) to work together on a new project: a website for FusionFabric.cloud, a platform-as-a-service, open-API ecosystem community built to foster the sharing and contribution of knowledge, resources and applications from developers in the worlds of academia, banks, consultancies and Fintech startups.

## The Challenge

FusionFabric.cloud was to be a complex platform-as-a-service offering with a marketplace, community platform, and support/documentation tools in addition to the actual application suite. But the challenge was that it had to quickly communicate its value through its design and UI to an extremely tough audience: savvy developers. More seasoned than your “average” web visitor, every element of the FusionFabric [Drupal 8](https://www.acquia.com/drupal) site had to reassure its developer audience that it was legit. Additionally, the site’s strong international presence meant that GDPR concerns were top of mind for Finastra; cutting corners on compliance was not an option.

## The Solution

Using [Acquia Cloud Platform](https://www.acquia.com/products/drupal-cloud/cloud-platform) and Drupal 8, Elevated Third and Finastra worked together to design the FusionFabric.cloud platform that allows developers to access a single registration form to start developing on the platform and build apps that can be sold on the marketplace. The two companies were able to design, build and deploy the site within a few short months even though stakeholders were spread across multiple continents and timezones.

## The Results

The deadline for the launch arrived, and the FusionFabric.cloud website went live right on schedule, without a hitch—mere months after the project kickoff. Additionally, the site meets all compliance requirements without any sacrifices in speed or management capabilities. Early metrics are promising, showing an overall site conversion rate of two percent, with more than 30 developers signing up each week.
