Drupal for Project Managers, Part 2: Implementation [June 5, 2013]

This four-part mini-course follows the life cycle of a Drupal project from start to finish -- and back again. This is based on our day-long Drupal for Project Manager’s course and will appeal both to project managers adopting Drupal and experienced Drupal developers or site builders who want to improve their overall project planning.

In this class, we’ll focus on implementation. You’ll understand how a typical Drupal team divides up the work and gets the job done. You'll learn how your designers and developers plan flexible layouts with Drupal. You'll get to understand the theming system in Drupal through demos. In terms of implementation you'll learn where the lines between configuration and custom code lie, and what you must consider when taking on custom code.

You’ll meet a solutions architect who has worked on all aspects of Drupal projects. Jakub Suchy is a developer, business owner, and consultant. He brings this experience to his role as a Solutions Architect.

In this webinar, Jakub will demonstrate:
• The basics of the configuration first approach
• Typical procedures in implementation
• Communicating with your team
