Reuter's London 2012

Phase2 Portfolio

Reuters, the news and media division of Thomson Reuters and the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, needed a complex white label Web Content Management System (CMS) to support their Olympics Website, Mobile Olympics Site, and Content Support for iPad and iPhone applications. Rich and timely content curation, along with ease of use for the Reuters’ on-the-ground journalists and editors was a critical component to the success of the project.

What We Did

Through the development of a high powered Drupal platform, Phase2 enabled Reuters to take their web news coverage of the Olympics to the next level. Reuters needed a content-centric platform, not just a website, that could support the substantial and timely needs of the Reuters’ Olympic news desk. A sophisticated platform was needed for a constant flow of multimedia coverage, including stories, photos, and video, that could easily be added to the website in order to support the huge journalistic presence of Reuters at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
