Founded in Glasgow in 2002, Digirati have grown into a leading digital technology consultancy that provides digital strategy, experience design, systems integration and software engineering services. Our staff apply best practice techniques that align particularly well with the Agile approaches pioneered by the Lean movement and championed by GDS that minimise wasteful and unnecessary deliverables and ensure solutions are delivered according to real user needs and remain aligned with organisational goals.

Digirati aim to be as technology independent as possible, always researching the best architecture and technologies to meet customer needs. We utilise open source and open standards where appropriate to avoid vendor lock-in for our customers and to enable useful collaboration with other bodies where possible. We also manage a number of open source projects ourselves.

We are particularly adept at working on projects where there is an emphasis on close collaboration with our clients, typically often with a large proportion of time spent on client site working in integrated interdisciplinary teams. All of our staff are based in the UK, we do not have an off-shore facility which we find incompatible with our approach. All staff including our software engineering team are entirely comfortable working face-to-face with our customers’ staff, enabling skills and knowledge transfer and embedding digital capabilities. The interdisciplinary "one team" approach means that Strategy, Product and Service Design elements do not become disjointed from the software development work stream which can be a major pitfall for Digital Transformation projects.

We have been very successful within the UK as a whole having worked for the Home Office, Communities and Local Government, UK Border Agency, Ofcom, Welsh Assembly, NHS England, NHS Scotland, Visit Scotland, Scottish Power, British Library, National Theatre, English Heritage as well as many academic & research institutions, local authorities and third sector organisations.
