Can you believe that DrupalCon is less than a month away? I certainly can't! This year, DrupalCon is taking over Portland, Oregon, the home of the Drupal Association, our west-coast office, as well as a burgeoning open source community.
For those of you unfamiliar with DrupalCon, it is an international event that brings together the people who use, develop, design, and support the Drupal platform. More than just another trade show or industry conference, it’s a shared experience that seeks to inspire and engage. DrupalCon Portland will feature dozens of curated sessions and panels from some of the most influential people and brightest minds within the Drupal community and beyond, as well as countless opportunities for networking, code sprints, informal conversations, and more. Whether you’re new to the community, have been around awhile, or are just curious to see what all the fuss is about - there is definitely something for you.
We're talkin' shop on Drupal in a BIG way
This year is shaping up to be the biggest DrupalCon in history, and we are more than ready. Acquians and our customers are speaking in over 16 sessions - from Drush 6 to free range chicken - we have got you covered. Plus, don't miss our training on Monday - Security: Process, Code & Hands-on Training.
Oh, and did I mention Dries' keynote? He is kicking off DrupalCon with his much anticipated talk on The Current State of Drupal 8. You will not want to miss this! Word to the wise - get there early - this session will fill up fast.
Raspberry Pi Kit? Apple TV? YOU DECIDE!
That's right. We're giving you the choice to decide your prize with our DrupalCon raffle this year. PLUS - we'll have these awesome T-shirts. But here's the catch: You gotta' come by the booth and say hello. We'll have team members from every facet of Acquia on site - from HR (we're hiring!) to Engineering to Products. If you have a question - ask it! We're here, on site, to help YOU succeed.
What's even BETTER is that we are launching TWO (yes, TWO) new products at DrupalCon, and we will have both of them demo'ing in our booth. We're granting exclusive access to Acquia Cloud Free Tier as well as Media Drive, which manages rich media across multiple Drupal sites. Awesome, right? We'll also have all of our products on display. Don't forget to stop by and test your Drupal site on Instant Insight! Anyone who receives an A+ gets a free t-shirt.
Learn how to build a successful partnership at Partner Day
We are inviting current and prospective partners to Acquia Partner Day at DrupalCon Portland, May 20, 2013 at the Oregon Convention Center. This is a great opportunity to connect with key Acquia executives including: Tom Erickson, CEO, Joe Wykes, VP of Global Channels, and Peter Guagenti, VP of Products, to discuss how we can work together to help our customers win. The agenda will include the Acquia Partner Program, partner success stories, and updates on strategic initiatives underway.
Meet with us!
Like I said, we have members of our leadership, engineering, product, marketing, channel and sales teams at DrupalCon Portland! If you are interested in meeting with someone on our team. We'd love to chat!
Free as in Drupal. Free as in Beer.
Now, the moment you have all been waiting for - the parties! The Drupal community has been known for it's ability to knock back a few pints - and since Portland is home to many breweries, I think we'll fit in just fine. Be sure to join us for the opening reception Tuesday night, which takes place in the exhibit hall (and don't forget to stop by booth #111!), plus all the other awesome events that are taking place that week.
We're also hosting a customer appreciation party for all of our customers. This is our way to say thank you - and let you know how much we appreciate your business. We'll have some delicious snacks, local beer (awesome!) and wine, and an awesome DJ! If you are a customer, and you would like to join us.
As you can see, DrupalCon is jam packed with fun things to do. If you haven't been, you really are in for a wonderful experience. This will be my second DrupalCon, and my biggest take away from the community in Sydney was how passionate everyone is. It is truly inspiring to see the dedication that lives in each and every single community member, and how much they believe in Drupal, believe in its power, its ability, and its future. It is truly amazing.
See you in Portland!
