Acquia Names Former Adobe & Macromedia Executive Jeff Whatcott as VP of Marketing

Industry veteran brings decade of experience building strong software businesses

**North Andover, MA, January 7, 2008** — Acquia, Inc. today announced that Jeff Whatcott has joined the company as vice president of marketing, responsible for all marketing activity. Whatcott joins Acquia from Adobe Systems, where he led marketing for the LiveCycle™ business process platform and the open source Flex™ rich Internet application development framework.

A longtime advocate of community, open standards, and open source development, Whatcott has nearly a decade of experience in successfully leading technical evangelism, standards relations, developer marketing, and product management organizations at Adobe, Macromedia, and Allaire Corporation.

Drupal has been downloaded over 2 million times since its inception, and project growth doubles annually.
