Brazil’s largest domestic airline chooses cloud and open source technology to easily scale its digital footprint
São Paulo — December 19, 2019 — GOL Airlines, Brazil’s largest domestic airline, has selected Acquia to improve digital experiences with Acquia Cloud and open source technology while enhancing its customer experience and channels. The move, which Acquia announced today, comes as part of GOL’s continued investment in market leading solutions, such as those being built by its technology innovation lab GOLlabs.
As the airline industry becomes more competitive and driving compelling differentiators is key to creating customer loyalty, engaging digital experiences can have a significant impact on an airline’s ability to compete effectively. GOL selected Acquia over competing solutions based on Acquia’s ability to support the company’s innovative strategy and future-ready solution. In doing so, GOL has placed a concise bet on cloud and open source to provide the flexibility, agility and increased time-to-market they need. Complementing the partnership, GOL is currently building a robust business intelligence (BI)/Analytics team, which will easily integrate with the Acquia Open Digital Experience Platform and services.
“As part of our innovation goals, we aim to make the GOL customer experience compelling and engaging. By creating an architecture that places Acquia at the heart of our content strategy, we’ll be able to dictate our own digital roadmap instead of being bound by proprietary licensing,” said Rogerio Quintela, Digital Channels, CRM & loyalty marketing manager for GOL. “Acquia’s solutions are easy to integrate with our existing and future systems, and its open source cloud approach guarantees integrations with our robust analytics and data platform. With Acquia, we are masters of our own digital maturity and investments—Acquia’s unparalleled scalability and security mean that we can continue to focus on innovation.”
