The Director, Human Resources, EMEA leads and manages all HR-related responsibilities in the EMEA region, working in close partnership with the EMEA General Manager of the Business and with the local and Global Talent Team. This position supervises a staff of two direct reports.  Supported geographies include, but are not limited to: United Kingdom, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Belgium.

This position will participate as a leader in all Global Talent Team initiatives and meetings, developing department goals and local action plans to support. The Director will build strong partnerships and provide feedback to business to identify opportunities for greater impact, influencing at all levels of the organization.  Acts as a builder, developing framework and processes to scale the business.

Provides leadership by advocating effectively for the team, acting as a trusted, impartial advisor to the business.  Collaborates to ensure decisions and actions are aligned with Corporate and Department Strategy, as well as the company values and business ethics.  Recommends new approaches to continually improve employee experience, satisfaction, efficiency and HR delivery of support to our team.  Acts as a thought leader, mentoring and teaching the team.

Essential Functions:

  • Employee Relations: Proactively partners closely with Leaders, Managers, and Employees on coaching and counseling to drive greater performance and accountability.
  • HR Guidelines and Initiatives: Leads setting and administration of Human Resources policies, guidelines, and procedures for the team. Effectively executes and optimizes global initiatives locally.  Partners with and supports Talent Acquisition and Learning Development initiatives. Executes training as needed.
  • Performance Management: Partners proactively on performance management, organizational design, succession planning, and career development in order to drive a high-performing team. Reinforces and advises the team around Acquia’s Performance Management Program, OKR goal-setting process, and Career Roadmaps.  
  • Benefits: Supervises benefits administration, including communicating to employees, new hire benefits orientation, and interface with broker and carrier to answer day to day questions, and annual renewal communication.  Manages local Wellness Program content and initiatives.
  • Onboarding: Manages and optimizes a world-class new hire experience, including Day 1 Orientation, onboarding roadmaps and new hire check-ins.
  • Offboarding: Manages the administration of offboarding process and exit interviews. Provides feedback to the business and recommendations to improve employee experience and management of the team.
  • HRIS, Reporting & Analysis: Supervises maintenance and data integrity of Human Resource Information System. Creates and analyzes ad hoc reporting as needed to support the business and inform decision-making.  Submits weekly Dashboard reporting and contributes to quarterly Department Dashboard reporting.
  • Legal Compliance: Maintains compliance with national and local employment and benefit laws and regulations. Ensures compliance with litigation changes, and implements best practices and new approaches.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and seven to ten years of HR experience, managing the HR function in a global organization.
  • Demonstrates an effective expertise in Human Resources, particularly in Employee Relations and Generalist functions. Resourceful in gaining knowledge, advice, and expertise in areas to support decisions in areas such as regulatory and legal issues.
