Acquia is looking for Drupal-focused Customer Success Engineers to join our client onboarding team to help us provide exceptional service to our growing customer base, which includes Fortune 500 clients and government agencies. We need smart, focused and determined individuals who have a proven ability to listen, read between the lines, and diagnose and solve problems efficiently. You get to advise and assist Acquia customers on how to deploy new site applications to Acquia's cloud hosting platform. 


You will join a dedicated team of onboarding technicians and engagement managers helping customers all over the globe overcome obstacles related to website hosting transitions. As part of that team, you will work directly with our customers and partners to resolve issues, develop and maintain excellent customer relationships, work with Acquia’s team of top Drupalists to consult or resolve issues, and contribute to making Acquia even more awesome.  

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Passion for the web and open-source development
  • Sets a standard for a high level of Customer Focus and quality assurance for themselves and their team
  • Experience installing Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 on LAMP (familiarity with decoupled Drupal/Node.js a plus)
  • Experience with a variety of file transfer clients
  • Experience with SSL certificates
  • Experience using Git (familiarity with continuous integration workflows a plus)
  • Experience using Composer for managing PHP dependencies
  • Comfortable using a Linux command-line interface on a routine basis
  • A compulsion for creating order out of chaos, and a penchant for turning over all the rocks and resolving issues thoroughly
  • Seeks to identify, analyze and solve problems systematically rather than solely by intuition or instinct. Looks for root causes, not just symptoms of the problem. Weighs pros and cons of actions. Differentiates when to or when not to escalate issues.
  • Aptitude for building, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of Drupal site recipes (complex sites, multimedia, social networking, brochure sites, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analyzes delivery of services and provides solutions to problems. Seeks customer feedback to investigate ways to improve customer experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related discipline preferred
  • Experience with one or more Unix shell scripting languages (Bash) a plus
  • OO development with Ruby and PHP a plus
