Earlier this month, Gartner released its annual Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management and Forrester announced its Forrester Wave for Digital Experience Platforms. Spoiler alert: Acquia was named a Leader in Gartner’s WCM for the sixth year in a row! But it’s not just the analysts that are paying attention. The media is too --
- CMSWire: “Last year Gartner placed Sitecore at the lead for ability to execute," with Adobe second and Acquia third. This year, it shuffled the decks to place Adobe ahead, with Acquia, then Sitecore following.”
- CMS Connected: “Acquia continues to stand apart thanks to its content hub, web experience management, development tools, and platform operations but falls short on customer data, commerce, and AI/ML automation capabilities.”
Here at Acquia, we’ve been working hard to provide our customers with an open and flexible platform to deliver the best possible digital experience. According to our svp of marketing, Tom Wentworth, “We believe that Digital Experience Platforms must be open and use this belief to help guide our vision for the company.” We’re thrilled to see that analysts and media alike are closely watching our journey from WCM to the only open digital experience platform!
Additional highlights for the month include coverage in Diginomica about our survey on personalization and how brands can earn consumer trust. Diginomica author Barb Mosher Zinck concludes in her takeaways on the research that “marketers need to figure out what their customers want in terms of a personalized experience, and focus on delivering that - instead of applying blanket personalization techniques that don't deliver value to the customer.”
