DrupalCon Global 2020
July 14-17 | Online Everywhere
Acquia is proud to announce our pledge to support Black Girls Code at DrupalCon Global. For every event attendee who completes our booth form, Acquia will donate $5 on their behalf.
Are you really the trivia buff that you think you are? Put your knowledge to the test by competing against Acquia’s very own Dries Buytaert, Angie Byron, Gabor Hojtsy and more. Trivia takes place each day at the start of expo hall hours.
A limited edition t-shirt is just waiting to be sent to someone like you. Visit our booth for more details, and while you’re at it, schedule a 1:1 video chat with one of our Drupal experts to chat about the migration to D9 and more.

As of this session proposal, approximately 66% of Drupal sites are still on Drupal 7*. With the launch of Drupal 9 and Drupal 7's end of life coming up in November of next year, it's critical to have as smooth an onramp as possible for people crossing the chasm.
This session will go over user research with Drupal users and implementers around why migrations are difficult, and what things are contributing to the adoption gap. We will then discuss strategies and propose ideas for reducing these barriers, with the ultimate aim to allow for more junior developers and even site builders and content managers to take part in the migration process, in order to reduce the overall cost and timeline of a migration. And finally, we will have pointers to specific code, projects, and other resources to help users to expedite migrations.
This session is for anyone staring down a Drupal 8/9 migration and feeling a sense of impending doom, as well as those who are experienced with migrations but want to hand the less technically interesting parts off to someone less technical.=

Everyone who uses Drupal believes in the concept of “Open.” But for marketers, Open doesn’t just mean open-source -- it means so much more.
In this session, we will define how Open applies to doing better marketing, not only through using open-source technology but through an Open approach to integrations, APIs, machine learning, data, and much more. You’ll learn what an Open approach to better marketing means, but you’ll also hear examples and success stories of organizations who have adopted “Open” concepts to their Marketing organization, and the impact they had.
Well, that happened fast! For years (see, decades), the default customer experience across most industries was exclusively comprised of traditional channels. And now, in the blink of an eye, many of those channels have been removed from the equation. We find ourselves in a new reality that is forcing organizations to accelerate their transformation. The definition of omnichannel has evolved, and the path forward is unquestionably digital-first.
But now that everyone is competing in the digital arena, how do businesses stand out? Join moderator Dave Bor, Director of Partner Marketing at Acquia, for a panel discussion and live Q&A featuring three of the top Drupal-contributing agencies in the industry. These leaders are on the front lines of digital transformation, and when new insights and trends emerge, they hear it first.
You will learn:
- That you're not alone: hear about challenges and opportunities customers are facing in digital transformation
- That anything is possible: hear how top Drupal agencies are creating incredible experiences with digital experience platforms
- That it doesn't take a million bucks: it's about finding the right solution, not the most expensive one
