The Cocktail Project


Beam Suntory needed a digital platform that would position them as the trusted authority and go-to resource for cocktail recipes.


Partnering digital agency, iCrossing Inc. aided in site design and development. The objective of the site was to bring all Jim Beam customers to a single destination, and to provide them with content and tools that they will enjoy instead of diluting their experience across multiple brand sites.

Leveraging Acquia Cloud as a Platform as a Service enabled development teams to effectively monitor servers and downtown responsiveness. Acquia’s set of Drupal development tools has made day to day management of the site easy including backups, data restorations and certificate management. Acquia’s support teams also helped diagnose performance bottlenecks as the Cocktail Project’s website grew.


In three months the cocktail project witnessed a 48 percent increase in visitors and a 20 percent increase in pageviews.

Six months after launching, The Cocktail Project has 8107 registered users.
