Watch out World – Here Comes Acquia’s University Relations Program!

At Acquia, as we begin to build our university relations program, we are excited about bringing in the next generation of talent to help move our company forward. In 2015 alone, we nearly doubled our internship program and entry level hiring.

We are committed to providing an awesome experience for our interns, and we have a whole host of summer events planned to make their experiences as rich as possible. From lunch and learns with our executives and departments to a formal mentorship program to intern/co-op-only social and community service outings, we strive to make a student’s time here fun, engaging, and relevant to school. And the best part is, we try to hire as many as we can into full-time roles!

Here are what some of our students and recent grads are saying about our programs:

katie_guido.png“After being here for less than a year, I couldn't be happier. I've had the opportunity to research and have conversations with some of the coolest companies in the world (including speaking to some of their highest level executives). This role is incredibly strategic unlike most business development roles; you're responsible for building your lists of prospects, doing research on the companies & people you want to reach, and then demonstrating to them how we can help their business. Last but certainly not least, we still have a team oriented mentality even in a very competitive and individualized role.”

  • Katie Guido, Business Development Representative, Babson College, BS Business Management 2014

I was a part of the team and given tasks that actually affected real production level systems, not just busy work. We are a tight-knit group here. We know about each other's families, about what we enjoy doing in our spare time, and we are always happy to tell stories about the fun we have outside of work. That is why I chose to stay with Acquia. The team here makes coming to work more than just a job.”

  • Matt Lucasiewicz, Senior Support Engineer, Rochester Institute of Technology, BS Software Engineering 2013

As we grow and get comfy in our new Boston HQ, we can’t wait to have even more students here in 2016 and beyond! And we want to share more about our program with area universities. On August 19, we will be hosting a university relations launch party for university career services offices, internship coordinators, staff, and faculty. Come see our Boston headquarters, (including our nap room, iced coffee keg, and collaboration space!), network with our executives, and learn more about what we offer for students and recent graduates. To sign up to attend our event, click here.

We look forward to meeting you at Acquia or on campus.
