Partner Summit APJ: Helping our Partners Think Ahead

A few weeks back we held our Partner Summits in Sydney and Melbourne and I’d like to extend a thank you for everyone who took the time to attend - an amazing collection of Australia’s most forward-thinking digital and technology agencies.

We covered a snapshot of strategies, best practices, how to build a centre of excellence, shared insights into Acquia’s products and 2017 roadmap, insights from current enterprise customers and how they have been successful, and finally we facilitated an exchange of ideas with our colleagues in the partner community.

In true Acquia style, it was capped off with a whiskey-tasting session with one of Diageo's entertaining and knowledgeable brand ambassadors.

But back to business - we sincerely appreciated a visit from Joe Wykes, SVP of Channels and Commerce, and David Worth of our Global Select Partner Enablement team from our Boston HQ, who came for the specific purpose, in Joe’s exact words, “of learning exactly what he needs to go back to HQ and do for our partners”. Given that Joe set up Acquia’s Global Channel Program, we certainly encourage our partners to take Joe up on that offer!

Joe reinforced Acquia’s laser sharp partner focus, and noted that partners in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) have set a global benchmark for adoption of Acquia solutions. This success was recognized at our MVP Partner Awards where CI&T (Japan) was honored internationally for its project innovation in the region. We encourage all of our partners to look out for the various Partner Awards that we run - we’d love to see even more APJ innovation represented.

Whilst we’re the most recently established region for Acquia, the commentary during sessions and breaks at both Summits demonstrates we’re certainly mature when it comes to accelerating digital transformation. We’re relatively young in the market, but adoption rates among enterprises are reaching a tipping point, and we’ve learned a lot from other markets. This was evidenced by two great customer Fireside Chats, as we like to call them, where our customers, ADMA and Energy Australia , were interviewed candidly about their experience with Acquia, with Drupal, and their partner. The more we all share, the more everyone benefits.

What’s been great is to see the growth and collaboration of our Partner community since we started these Summits. It’s certainly indicative of the huge interest and opportunity in Drupal and Acquia solutions in our region.
