After more than a decade as a marketing executive at companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly traded enterprises, Matt Johnston joined Mautic as CEO at the end of 2016. Prior to that, Matt led marketing, community and company strategy at Applause. As their Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, he was responsible for the company's large-scale initiatives around global expansion and partner ecosystem.
Previously, Matt served as VP of Marketing at OnForce; Director of Marketing at Mimeo; and started his career at Herman Miller as an E-commerce Product Manager. Matt earned a B.A. in Marketing from Calvin College, as well as an MBA in Marketing & Technology from New York University's Stern School of Business. Matt is a frequent speaker at technology and marketing conferences, including Apps World, Digital Summit, Under The Radar and Enterprise 2.0.
