Acquia Expands Operations in Europe [Sept. 22, 2015]
New Frankfurt Data Center, Munich Office, Support Growing Demand for Acquia’s Open Cloud Platform
BARCELONA – 22 September 2015 – Acquia, the digital experience company, today announced its expanded Europe operations with the opening of its new Munich office and the launch of its Frankfurt data center. With data centers now located in Germany, Ireland, and eight other regions around the globe, Acquia is the only Drupal platform service provider to offer pan-European support for high availability sites that accommodate EU data sovereignty requirements. Acquia announced its expanded European operations this week at DrupalCon Barcelona.
Businesses are increasingly moving to public cloud services, including many companies in highly regulated industries such as financial services, life sciences, and healthcare. As the European Commission moves forward with its proposed European Data Protection Regulation and works to give citizens control of their personal information, Acquia is thinking ahead in creating multi-region EU cloud services that meet the latest, evolving standards for privacy and data protection.
