Acquia Appoints Chris Comparato As Vice President Of Customer Solutions [Sept 12, 2012]

BURLINGTON, MA – September 12, 2012 – Acquia, the enterprise guide to Drupal, today announced that it has hired Chris Comparato to fill the newly created position of Vice President of Customer Solutions. In this capacity, Comparato will be responsible for solutions architecture, professional services, learning services, client advisory and customer advocacy. Comparato joins Acquia’s executive management team and reports to CEO Tom Erickson.

Comparato comes to Acquia with more than 20 years of leadership experience in service-oriented software and consulting organizations. Most recently, Comparato was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Customer Solutions for Endeca (recently acquired by Oracle), where he led all client-facing functions, including consulting, solution enablement, education, and customer care. He also championed Endeca’s strategic partner initiatives, facilitated its initial penetration into the Enterprise space, and re-shaped its client base in the West Region.

Prior to Endeca, Comparato held management roles with Keane, Breakaway Solutions and Cambridge Technology Partners. At these organizations, his efforts were focused on growing, leading and managing client relationships and portfolios for Fortune 250 and Global 3000 clients. 
He started his career at TASC (The Analytical Sciences Corporation) as a team technical lead and developer. Comparato holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.
