Notes from Drupal for Project Managers - Part 3 - Launching

Today we held Part 3 of our Drupal for Project Manager's course with Amye Scarvada @amye. We focused entirely on issues around launching. This is the project manager's opportunity to stave off any potential disasters at the point of going live. It's the project manager who can check that all considerations have been made, and even in some cases plan and test for rollback... *just* in case something goes pear-shaped.

Process Improvement for Managing Project Complexity and Scale

All projects of scale go through a phase when they outgrow the loose and undefined processes that work for small projects. With the project growing in size and complexity, processes need to be better defined to ensure they can handle the additional scale. What sets successful projects apart from unsuccessful ones is that successful teams are able to continuously identify when and where processes are breaking down, and are able to continuously improve those processes.

As we continue to experience rapid growth, one area we are constantly fine tuning - with a goal to continually enhance delivery and collaboration - is our project management systems.
