Acquia lands $15m round; more into Drupal and...

Acquia landed a $15m round in another showing of strength from the commercial open source crowd. The series D round of funding was for $15m, led by Tenaya Capital, along with participation from existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Sigma Partners. This fourth round takes Acquia, which has been in business for less than four years, to total funding of $38.5m. Less than a year ago, the company raised $8.5m in a series C round. The money will go toward sales and marketing.
