Story of Multnomah County: Migrating from Vignette and Building a Drupal Ecosystem

Three years ago, Multnomah County took an aging Vignette website and migrated it to Drupal. They have not looked back.

The cost benefits and development options led them to launch 23 other sites and applications on Drupal—including two that won awards Multco Commons (intranet) and Multnomah County Library web site. (MCL is the second largest Library in the U.S. by circulation with nearly 9 million visitors per year.)

Join Acquia and our guest speaker - Joshua Mitchell, Enterprise/Web Applications Manager from Multnomah County - for this one hour webinar where we will discuss how he and his team successfully turned a small team into an internal Drupal powerhouse. Drupal not only sped the process of launching and maintaining new sites, but also allowed them to move their hosting infrastructure to the cloud, significantly reducing long term costs. This session will cover:

  • Requirements included in the evaluation process
  • Key factors considered when choosing Drupal for a project
  • Lessons learned by the Multnomah County team
  • Plans for building a successful maintenance and upgrade lifecycle

If you are considering upgrading your site to Drupal, this presentation is a MUST-see!
