Drupal-tuned web servers
On each of your web servers Drupal processes the request queries the database, grabs the files it needs and delivers the page to the user. You can scale any number of servers on the fly.
Highly available files and databases
Files use Gluster FS to manage mirrored file servers, databases have an active DB and a passive DB to handle failover. Any number of DBs can be added on-the-fly.
Code repository
You commit code to your repo using SVN or GIT, and Acquia Cloud deploys it on your web servers automatically.
