LG FameUs Contest and Sweepstakes

The LG FameUs webpage was the result of a collaboration between LG, MGM Studios, VH1, Y&R and VML to promote positivity through participation in youth music today. Partnering with the re-release of the movie FAME, LG mobile division created a contest and sweepstakes giving away $50,000 cash, free phones and loads of prizes to anyone willing to submit their reenactment of the Fame theme song or, (for the more camera-shy) those willing to judge other contestants on their submission.

The movie takes place in a performing arts high school in New York City, and in order to fully align the web experience with the film, VML was given access to pre-premiere film footage and was able to work with the actors to produce web-exclusive content. The end result was a true-to-life web experience that the NY office is proud to confirm captures the look, feel, and sounds of New York City while authentically integrating the celebrity characters our youth audience wants to engage with.
