Vividwireless is Australia's first 4G wireless broadband service, and is a leading example of Drupal being used for a large scale enterprise website in Australia.
The aim of Vividwireless was to roll out Australia’s first 4G wireless broadband network within six months. A critical component of this launch was building a website to serve as a marketing platform and online store as well as a gateway to its back-end customer account management and support systems. Flexibility of the website platform was essential to meet the business’ rapidly changing requirements.
Delivering the Solution
By using Drupal, Vividwireless was able to forgo licensing fees and redirect the budget back into custom development. Seamless integration to Vividwireless’ back end systems which hosts the company’s pricing, billing, customer records and account management details was also a critical. PreviousNext integrated hundreds of Application Programming Interface (API) calls to customise the website to Vividwireless enterprise systems, making this website one of the most complex Drupal projects in Australia to date.
Vividwireless officially launched its website on March 2010 and in the first six months received more than 500,000 website visits and 2 million page views. Vividwireless’ plans to extend the building of Australia’s only 4G wireless broadband network nationally and have engaged PreviousNext in an ongoing capacity to support and extend the website.
