Pega desired a robust feature set that its in-house CMS could not deliver. Drupal’s Pressflow distribution became the clear choice as the new CMS because of its MySQL optimization, flexible framework, and 7,200+ contributed modules.
Furthermore, Acquia’s enterprise hosting and performance tuning packages assisted in reducing page load times. Caching modules such as Boost and Authcache significantly increased performance for both anonymous and authenticated users.
