Let's Get Personal: The Basics

DC Denison's picture

Personalization is as old as marketing itself. Give each customer what they want, how they want it, when they want it. New technologies, platforms, and devices give us the tools to reinvent this venerable approach, expanding its reach and effectiveness. To wring the maximum value out of personalization, you have to track your results, constantly re-evaluate what you are doing, and adjust your strategy accordingly. I love Google+. I know some people are underwhelmed from all the hype. But I like it. It may or may not be for the fact I have some abnormal dislike of Facebook (which I do). But I just think it's better. Easier to manage “circles” of all my different friends, family, co-workers, and strangers I meet in the street; easier to share photos (I already used Picasa); and just easier all around. It's the better way to social networking!
