Panels has a GUI layout builder which works wonderfully for rapid prototyping, but is not ideal for production environments. Fortunately it's very easy to create a custom Panels layout in your theme or custom module that you can use on any other website. We'll demonstrate adding custom layouts via two methods: using a custom module and using a custom theme. We'll then tip toe through the code to explain syntax and then get personal and make the layout our own.
