Manager of Learning Services
Acquia, Inc.

I worked with Acquia for several years, creating learning content. I earned my Masters of Science focusing on learning and technology to support learning. I work with partners as well as the Learning Services team in delivering the training program across the globe.

When Dries asked at DrupalCon San Francisco: "Has Drupal changed your life?" I was one of the people who stood up. It's an amazing experience, and feel I'm participating in a larger cultural shift which shows the benefits of collaboration and working together. This gives me hope that the world is getting better.

I wanted to show how so-called "non-coders" can make significant contributions to the Drupal project. Probably the quickest way to make friends with a module maintainer is to help out in the issue queue. You can also help out with triage on some of Meer...

We had 226 respondents to a survey about roles in the Drupal community. Though we pilot tested the survey and honed down the questions, the findings were inconclusive, though we could draw one result. Apparently we use terms like "themer" or "module Meer...

What's so wrong with saying "Drupal has a steep learning curve?" Well, it's not the most helpful analogy. And it's one of my pet peeves. I agree, it is a myth. Yes it is. We have to keep in mind that the curve is not the path, and the initial Meer...
