Brant is a Solutions Architect at Acquia. He has worked on many Drupal projects involving everything from rapid prototyping to large-scale distributions for multinational organizations. On Drupal.org, he is creator and maintainer of the Entity JS module. He is also a co-maintainer of the Bean module and has led the team in documenting this module through his creation of Bean plugins and documentation pages. Brant has used Drupal professionally since 2008.
In the summer of 2012, Brant was able to work full-time on COD - the Conference Organizing Distribution. This was largely attributed to funds provided by the Drupal Association and Promet Source - the latter of whom are an Acquia Partner Company that he worked for at the time. It was on this project that Brant learned how to properly navigate the D.O. issue queue while working simultaneously with teams across multiple organizations.
Also in 2012, Brant co-founded the Chicago Advanced Drupal User Group (CADUG), a meetup group focused on facilitating discussions between Drupal professionals that live and work in the Chicago area. Although founded by advanced Drupalists, CADUG encourages people from all areas to attend and learn with them.
One of Brant's primary roles at Acquia is creating and documenting reusable components for the pre-sales team to demo working proofs-of-concept built using Drupal. These POCs help clients get on board with Drupal and show them that open-source software can capably solve the increasingly complex problems that these organizations are up against. The result of these efforts has lead to an open sourced distribution called Demo Framework as well as a community organization based around shared information and demo collaboration at DemoDrupal.org.
