On Sunday the Drupalcon organizers arranged for a code sprint at the excellent József Attila Study and Information Centre. What a difference great infrastructure makes to the productivity of a day of sprinting. The work area was the open birds of a feather lounge on the third floor.

Our vision for enhancing the total experience with Drupal is becoming a reality. This Friday between 1:00 - 5:00, help us create this experience by becoming a usability participant in our Beta Test Kitchen. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Acquia offering, provide feedback, and become part of our Beta program. That's right, you'll become part of the Beta program just by coming by and spending an hour or so driving through a few tasks.

I have been meeting a lot of interesting people on the road, and lately it's been librarians. It turns out that a lot of libraries love Drupal. I've put together a showcase video of libraries that use Drupal. Next time you are at your library, make sure you share this video with your local librarian.

We had over a dozen volunteers from the South Bay, San Francisco, and Berkeley group at the Drupal booth. We also had at least four people ask about a North Bay group. One of the problems when you have so many fun and interesting people working at your booth is you start talking to them instead of all the people who are looking at you with the "What's a Drupal?" look. But we did a great job talking to hundreds of people in three days and I believe that this will help to grow Drupal usage in both the Bay Area and the broader Linux community.
