Most advice to improve site performance is aimed at developers who straddle the line between coder and system administrator. In reality, many Drupal sites are built using the administrative interface by people who have little technical knowledge, people we call “site builders.”

This presentation is designed to give site builders the knowledge and tools to enhance the performance of their web sites without ever touching PHP or the command line. The Drupal community is rich in modules and best practices that can significantly improve the performance of any Drupal site.

Now that you have your site up and running, we’ll show you how to cut those page load times using simple techniques.

In this session you will learn how to:
• Apply best practices to your development process.
• Tune the most common slow-performing modules, such as Views and Panels.
• Evaluate the performance of modules before installing them.
• Optimize a site's performance using additional modules.
