Andover, MA — March 4, 2009 — Acquia, the fast growing company offering commercial support for the Drupal social publishing system, today announced the appointment of Tom Erickson as chief executive officer, as well as the addition of Warren Utt as vice president of sales. Both executives will help to further build Acquia as a leader in the social publishing space and will continue to expand the use of Drupal globally.

“It is important to identify leaders who are excited about open source software and who have successful track records growing software companies,” said Acquia co-founder and chief technical officer Dries Buytaert. “Welcoming Tom and Warren on board is a natural progression and a way to solidify Acquia’s future as we strive to increase Drupal usage.”
