Why the Gartner Magic Quadrant for WCM Matters to Commerce

Three weeks ago, Acquia reached a major milestone. Gartner released its annual Web Content Management Magic Quadrant, and for the first time, Acquia made the coveted Leaders quadrant. This is a huge accomplishment for Acquia, and makes everyone here extremely proud to work for such an amazing company.

Plan for Successful Drupal Adoption

Change is hard. In technology, it is also inevitable. Done poorly, it can lead to busted budgets, blown timelines, and bloated scope. Done well, it can transform your organization. Planning is key to successful change--and planning must account for human needs as well as technical requirements.

What is an adoption plan?

An adoption plan for a software project has elements of the following:

Identifying Candidates

Drupal developers will often identify themselves within one of three categories:

Amazee Labs Lends Drupal 8 Expertise to Drupal.com

Amazee Labs (Austin and Zurich) are developing drupal.com using Drupal 8 Beta.

Crossing the Cloud Rubicon Requires Human Participation

We’re several years into the cloud revolution, and IT departments are officially on board: they’re slated to spend $13B on cloud computing this year. In-house racks and thick clients are cumbersome compared to cheap, hands-off cloud services. With costs shaved off in-house servers, IT teams can finally focus on those projects that engage users and boost company ROI.
