I hope you've heard by now, but this year's DrupalCon is in Munich. It's going to be fantastic. How do we know? Well, because the week starts with Training, and any week that starts with Training has to be awesome.
Acquia is involved in three separate training courses at Munich. We're running our ever popular Security course, and also teaching both the Performance and Scalability course and the Multilingual Development course with some other fine folks.
Acquia's Security course sold out in Denver, and we expect it to sell out in Munich - so get your seat NOW. And you might as well buy a seat in the other courses now too - because we're pretty sure they'll sell out as well.
Here at Acquia, we're green - we believe in re-use and recycling (and normal cycling as well for that matter). So I present to you a video that I made with Greggles (aka Greg Knaddison, Drupal Security Team Lead & Acquia's Director of Security Services) prior to Denver DrupalCon. In it, we describe the course and what you might learn. We also talk about some Denver specific things, so we encourage you to skip those bits.
As with Denver, we'll be doing a Webinar to get you excited about training (or maybe to just soothe your curiosity about what you might learn). This webinar will cover "identifying and protecting against SQL injection in Drupal" and will happen Thursday, July 12. You can register for this webinar here.
If you really want to prepare well, you can also check out webinar we ran before the Denver DrupalCon. In that webinar, we covered "Protecting Your Drupal Site Against XSS Vulnerabilities".
New for this DrupalCon is the option to take training even if you won't be coming to the rest of the Con. So there is no excuse to not come to training.
The full titles of the courses we're involved with are:
- Building Multilingual Websites with Drupal 7, Presented by EvolvingWeb. You can view a recorded webinar by EvolvingWeb on this topic to start getting ready (and excited) for this Munich training.
- Drupal Performance and Scalability with the Dream Team, Presented by the Dream Team
- Security: Process, Code & Hands-on Training, Presented by Acquia (Ben "coltrane" Jeavons & Greg "greggles" Knaddison)
Other sessions of note include those run by our Training Partners. Zivtech is running the Drupal 7 Front-End Development course, and OS Training is running their Absolute Beginners Guide to Drupal. So no matter what, we're pretty sure you can get some great Drupal training while you're in Germany. Set yourself up well for the rest of the DrupalCon, get some training. Register now, don't delay, seats are limited (really!).
