A Vote for Freedom
Today Acquia submitted a short video to promote the next major release of our social software distribution – Drupal Commons 2.0 – to Launch Pad for voting by the public for time on the Enterprise 2.0 stage in Boston on June. Voting is open to the public – so we need your vote!
The Enterprise 2.0 Launch Pad, produced by TechWeb (producers of the Enterprise 2.0 Conference, the Web 2.0 Expo, and publisher of Information Week magazine) is “a competition that lets companies present their innovative application (either in development and about to launch, or recently launched) to the Enterprise 2.0 community.” We are excited to be participating in Launch Pad as well as attending E2.0 in Boston in June. Hope to see you there!
Our video is not a product or feature demonstration with screenshots of the new updates. You can see those by visiting the Acquia booth. But rather it is a short story telling how Drupal Commons is social software with freedom.
The story begins describing the value all good social software provides, no matter the solution. Things like the ability to build and engage your community by communicating, connecting, and collaborating. But that doesn’t mean all social software is created equal. Drupal Commons adds the freedom to grow, adapt and innovate, with freedom from licensing fees and vendor lock-in.
With the 2.0 release that will be previewed at E2.0, Acquia is providing more ways that Drupal Commons means freedom. With more flexibility in the style of your community, and more options on design and features, coupled with the extensibility of Drupal and the benefits of open source software you have a solution that truly provides freedom. Add to that Acquia support and services and you have a winning solution against the competition – every time.
So check out the video, vote for us, and spread the word – freedom!
